The Dark Knight Rises premiered today, and I get to watch it on the first day, which really is a once-in-a-blue-moon kind of thing for me. It really is, because the first time I ever watched a movie on the first day of its release was Avatar, courtesy of my uncle.
So anyway, here is the story behind how I managed to get tickets to see TDKR. On Tuesday (I think), Aizad tweeted me asking if I wanna join the movie outing clan that consisted of Amir Faisal and him in Sunway. I said that I wasn't sure, but that I wanted to go. I had an appointment with Dr Jessica earlier today so I wasn't sure whether I'd get back home in time. So yeah it stayed that way until yesterday, when Faisal tweeted me asking who's the 4th person going, since I asked Aizad if I can bring someone, because being the only girl would've been awkward. He said he bought the tickets already, because Aizad said that I had already confirmed I was going. *facepalm* I was like, "YOU BOUGHT THE TICKETS ALREADY?!" then I spent the whole of yesterday trying to find someone who would go with me. Shazana couldn't go, Maizatul didn't have transport and Yaya couldn't go either.
It was pretty bad. And God helped me, because I asked Fatin whether she could go at like, 10 pm and she said yes. Finally. I could actually sleep soundly last night, lol. So yeah the four of us went to watch the movie. We ate at Wendy's before that, I finally tried the Mushroom Melt burger and it tasted amazing. Mushroom and cheese fit like a puzzle! The 4 of us were talking and Aizad told us about the outrageous pranks he pulled on his friends. He lived a somewhat 'cray cray' life. Haha. And then we talked about universities and studying abroad, which was really nice and, shall I say, 'informative'.
And the movie?
Words cannot describe how amazing that movie was. Definitely a great end to the trilogy, and it was the best out of the three films, too. Great twists, wonderful plot, some humour here and there and also a Robin reference at the end! I won't spoil it for you of course haha. I was nearly emotional on the last part of the movie. Christopher Nolan sure knows how to break people's hearts!
Me camwhoring like 'cray cray'.
I was wearing the navy blue cardigan I got from an online secondhand store here. It wasn't secondhand though, which was cool. It has a preppy feel to it, with the badge and twin lines on the arms. I was wearing my ankle boots because it was freezing in the cinema, haha.
Oh the best part was...Faisal paid for EVERYTHING. The food, the ticket and the parking fee (lol). God he's so nice. He said this, when I wanted to pay him back "Ala, sekali-sekala belanja." D'aww. Fatin and I paid for our own popcorn though. I felt guilty for getting him to pay for everything else as it is.
So yeah, today was awesome, and I get to see Fatin and Faisal again, which was nice because we would be pursuing our degrees soon and I doubt that we would have time to hang out anymore. Sniffs.
Apparently 'cray cray' means crazy. Goodness, the words they make up these days are so ridiculous and funny.
xoxo,
Zafirah.
