What does it mean when Zafirah is under a despicable amount of pressure and she just couldn't take it anymore?
She goes online.
Till late at night, when everyone had shut their eyes and turned off the lights, hers would still be open. And what does she do online? Anything. Nothing, really. But a little bit of something.
All she knows is that the Web makes her feel human. Like, she knows, she's still sane enough to look for the latest news, new songs and cool pictures. Reality may be on the verge of facing mass destruction, but at least, cyberspace still stands firm. If she could choose just ONE song to describe her life at the moment, it would be Jedward's "Under Pressure".
Under pressure.
Pushing down on me.
Pushing down on you.
How does Zafirah makes sure she's strong enough to wake up from her slumber? She won't think of SPM, when will the exam end, or how much longer till that day comes. She would tell herself to relax. Pressure is like a burden you put on your shoulders. And though the weight of stress is bringing her down, her composure remains upright and straight. Heavy burden? She can take it.
All is well, except for the fact that Zafirah actually has to wake up in reality or else, she might lose her mind. The pressure might save her from humiliating herself. You just need to wake up.
I need to wake up.
