4 days of incessant tutoring this week. No breaks, no complaints. And i don't have the right to anyway. Because somehow, 'teaching' other kids my age has given me benefits. And sore throats. Which explains why i wasn't doing my best when i was assigned to become a tutor/mentor or whatever. It's too bad that i got sick right before i had to do this tutoring thing. But all in all i did pretty okay, considering my standards are not too high. And maybe i'll do better in my studies after this. With the SPM trial coming sooner than i would've want to, i have to be ready.
There are other people who are less fortunate than me. Not that i was unfortunate, the kids i taught were all great and were actually eager to learn; but some of the tutors have gotten students who, let's say, cared more about which outfit to wear to a BBQ party than to learn about neutrons and the structure of human bones.
They. Don't. Care.
I'm sorry if i'm being rude, but who else is to be blamed anyway? Surely, us tutors are not the ones who are responsible. They have their own brains, so they can make their own choices. End of story.
It's too bad, really. Because us tutors not only worked hard for this obligation, we genuinely wanted these rebels to ace their exams too. But if they're not bothered about it then heck, so are we. It's up to them anyway. Don't go crawling to us if you can't find jobs in the future and have to be stuck in airports or shopping malls scrubbing toilets and cleaning up some toddler's vomit.
