2010, I'll Miss You

Wait, are those fireworks I heard just now? Oh.

2010 is over. And 2011 is taking its place. You have gone so soon, 2010. You have left a mark on my life that is definitely to be remembered in many years to come. I've come a long way, and it's a shame that I haven't gotten over you. Yes, 2010 was a crappy year, but it was the most memorable, and it always will (: It is the year where Form 5 students pluck out their hair to get ready for SPM. It's the year to say goodbye to our beloved friends. It's the year to start worrying about our lives apart from each other. It's the last year as high school students, and it's the year I won't forget. I won't forget the busy chattering of the students early in the morning at the school halls. I won't forget how we all unsuccessfully tried to finish our countless homework assignments. I won't forget the birthday wishes, the movies we watched and the day we celebrated our graduation. And I won't certainly forget the laughs we shared as a family of one. The whole year instantly entered my mind in a flash. At just a strike of the clock, 2010 has fade away. Where has it gone by? I have asked that many times and still, no such theory or explanation is able to make me fully comprehend the reason why. I couldn't forget all the things I've done or have not done in the past year. It was a joy and it was painful, but in the end we all came out, with our heads held up high and our feet further up in the air as we celebrated the life of freedom. I can't wait what 2011 has in store for me, but I'm not giving up 2010 for the world. It has changed me, guide me, broke me and loved me for a whole year. My new year's resolution is not to have any resolutions, but if I must, it has always been to be better than I was before. 2011 will be a thrill ride, a year to make a change, and the first year I'll live as an adult. Bring it on, 2011. I'll give you what I got. And I thank God for 2010. Goodbye, I'll miss you forever.
