National Heroes

WOWWW. What a game that was. I never thought I'd liked watching football before this. And it's such a sweet and rewarding gift that it involves our national football team. I'm speechless. Really, I am. But I would like to say a few things. Lol.

Maybe I should get back to writing with this font. Okay, after a long day of attending a course of all things cars, it's nice to just hang out with the fam and chill. And even watching a game of football right? Yeah, well, we weren't so chilled as we were nervous cos this isn't JUST a game. It's arguably the most-awaited football match of the year, possibly the decade. The AFF Suzuki Cup final match, Malaysia vs. Indonesia. Now throughout the nation, this is the only thing I can think of right now that brings us together. Football. As lunatic as it sounds, football is a medium of unity and togetherness for the people. It's one of the reasons Malaysians live as one. You'll see tons of people crowding the mamak stalls just to watch the match in HD. And it doesn't matter what colour of skin you are.

So anyway, the Malaysian team wowed the Bukit Jalil crowd on Sunday when they went ahead of Indonesia by 3-0. Before, I got chills that the Indonesians were gonna tear our team to terrorizing pieces. These guys, they're not here to fool around. This means war to them. But how was I proud to see the 3 goals belonging to us for once, leaving the disappointed Indonesians who probably wasted loads of cash to see their team, storming out of the stadium before the match was even finished! They can fight, but they're certainly weak when it comes to defeat. You could see it from their faces. They were gonna lose. To a country that they are never bored of trying to destroy. And yeah, how lame was the Indonesian goalkeeper, Markus Harrison. If he can't handle a green laser, he can't handle anything. And he proved it to all who were watching.

All the Malaysian team needed to do was to defend their goal post and maybe, possibly manage to put out a goal or two in the second and final match of the cup. It was a joyous moment when Safee, the captain and striker of the team striked another goal for Malaysia. It gave us hope, if not anything, that we were gonna win. Well, we probably already knew it by then, but as Malaysians, we couldn't afford to be arrogant. Hahaha. I'll just skip the part when the Indonesians bounced back as they emerged with 2 goals and just go on about the national goalkeeper, Khairul Fahmi. I mean, do I NEED to say more? He's incredible, skillful and quick as lightning. This Kelant
anese wowed me. I saw him in Malaysia's match against Vietnam, and I could tell an amazing goalkeeper when I see one. He didn't disappoint in the final match either. Without him, who knows? We could all succumb to the Indonesian powerhouses. Bambang Pamungkas, he was the one to beat. Luckily, our guys outshone him. He didn't even put out a goal. All in all, we finally had smiles in our faces. 14 years we have waited, and it felt good when we actually won. Thanks to Fahmi, Safee and the rest of the players, there is still hope for the Malaysian football team. Malaysia BOLEH!

Khairul, you are AWESOMEEEEE
