Don't Ever Blog If You're Drunk

The title is what I've learnt from the movie 'The Social Network'. Though I won't EVER be drunk in my whole life, it's a good advice. But in Mark Zuckerberg's case, getting drunk while blogging about being dumped by his breast-deprived girlfriend (he mentioned it, not me) and comparing her to animals was the best thing he ever did in his life.

The results ; he had 6 months of education probation, was hated by every girl in the whol
e Harvard community, facemash.com, two lawsuits, lost his best friend and became the youngest billionaire in the world. Oh and also, Facebook was born.

WOAH. And I thought my life is bad.

Yes, earthlings, I have finally seen the movie after being trapped in a whirlwind of test papers, pens, calculators and revision books. SPM is FINALLY over and I can actually breathe now, though I
might have to hold it in again right before the actual results come out. But that's not for a few more months.

Anyway, the first thing that came on my mind after I found out about the movie was that it was cool, it's about Facebook and it's relatable to everyone. Because in this world, today, anyone who is everyone owns a Facebook profile. The question is : how did Facebook came to be?

Zuckerberg may have agreed to this, but I just wanna rub in the fact that Mark Zuckerberg's a total asshole and a self-absorbed nerd with little friends. Well, that was how he was portrayed in the movie though. Unsurprisingly, he got dumped by his girlfriend because, get this, he's too freaking intelligent and his girlfriend can't stand the fact that he's a genius. Seriously, being a smart ass can be a drag sometimes. You're alw
ays correcting someone's sentences, annoy people with intellectual quotes and bore your friends with 'fascinating' facets of life.

I don't know how Mark could stand watching a movie about himself,
where he is portrayed as a complete douche.

But like I said, he may have known that he's a jerk for quite awhile now. But he has a good heart. Though stubborn as he is, he never intentionally became disloyal to his best friend. His emotions always got the best of him. As clever as he might be, Mark couldn't overcome his emotions. No genius knows how to figure out the way his emotions work and how to always do the right thing. What Mark thought w
as the right thing to do, ended up backfiring him and this lead to lawsuits.

The cast is exceptionally splendid; Jesse Eisenberg was remarkable as Zuckerberg, Andrew Garfield killed the role of Eduardo Saverin, Justin Timberlake was a pleasantly surprising actor as Napster founder Sean Parker, and who can forget about the Winklevoss twins?

Watching this movie helped in figuring out life itself. Life is a roller coaster. But saying that this Facebook CEO's life is equal to a thrill ride is an understatement. Mark is more than that, and in the end, the genius hit rock bottom and succumbed to his own creation.

My favourite part of the movie! I laughed so hard :D
