Tabloid Junkie

if investigative reporting is really like in the novel i'm reading right now, then the world is just an ugly, cruel piece of shit. i'm not saying the earth has to take the blame. i meant the ppl living in it. we're living in a goddamned place full of shit-talking ppl who, for example, is known as Brittany, but turned out to be Ashley in the next. liars. fucking liars. i don't really talk like this, and i think i'm starting to have the same vocabulary as the characters from the novel. okay, now i have to watch it. anyway, this novel is freaking good. it's called 'Trashed", about an aspiring journalist who ended up working in a tabloid company after being fired from a job she didn't even started working at.

need i tell you that working as a spy/insider/tabloid reporter that dig through celeb secrets is actually highly dangerous? yes, i should. because, this is kinda weird. can you even possibly get a paper cut from learning about celebs and their affairs?? yes, according to "Trashed" that is. this journalist was actually blackmailed by a certain celeb. wow. and you're not even doing something as serious as planning to build a ginormous tower or something. it's just GOSSIP for heaven's sake. surely this job is safe enough? apparently not. "Trashed" got some really wild stuff about being in a tabloid company and they actually have to THINK of how to write an article about who's who. sorry, i'm a bit biased. i didn't respect these sociable freaks who like lying in front of everybody's faces to get the juiciest dirt in Hollywood history. but, after reading this very informative novel, i began to think there is something going on in their world full of hatred and love affairs.

even so, i would NEVER dream of working in this business.
it scares the hell out of me. but it sure pays well.
oh yeah, with that money, who cares of what ppl think anymore?

i think i may well be reconsidering this job :P

i hate myself for being a hypocrite. jeeez
