Another Year, Another Raya

typical, you say? hmm, at general, yes it may seem that way. bcos my schedule has always been the same; balik kampung at the eve of raya, stay for 2 nights, then go raya at kl for a few days. but, every raya is always different from one another. like, last raya, it was great bcos we had steamboat the first night, and watched glamor raya and laughed like idiots together. it was great fun!

but this raya was diff cos glamor raya wasn't aired the first syawal. nah, who cares? ppl forgot about it a long time ago. this year, was the VMAs. and the tribute for MJ was awesome! even my older relatives watched it, for the scene between the asshole kanye west and taylor swift was on. they all laughed and booed at him xD served him right.

that wasn't the best part yet; that night, a live match between man utd and man city was on. of course, i wasn't thrilled at first, given that it's gonna be raya the next day and ppl are excited over a dumb football game?? bullshit. i soon got the hang of it, and it was crazy fun cos almost all of my family members were man utd fans. it was a pretty tight game, and finally man utd won by the final minute. it was freaking insane! my relatives who were already asleep got woken by our screams and cheers from downstairs. hahah. and did i mention we have astro there?? :)

after the match, we had fun with mercun and bunga api. yesss! this is what i call fun. it's not fun if you're left with 2 fingers after you played with it though xD the next day was hectic, as there were too many ppl in the house and there's only 3 bathrooms. so, there we were, towels being stuck above our heads as we waited till it's our turn to bathe. me and my cousins were convinced to not bathe in any other bathrooms except the bathroom upstairs even though the other ones are not occupied. didn't know why, we just liked that bathroom since young :)

all in all, raya 2009 has been good so far. we still have a few more days to enjoy the wonders of rendang.
