Those Were The Days

emily osment did a remake of sleeping beauty's song, once upon a dream. i liked it and so i downloaded it from the internet. yesterday, the day i downloaded the song, sleeping beauty was aired on disney channel. i didn't know why the heck was i watching the fairytale that used to be my fave back when i was in diapers, but suddenly i felt the urge to remenisce my childhood years.

back in the day, i used to love playing with barbies and kitchen toys and all that. every time my birthday comes up, i wld be sooo excited bcs my dad wld buy me a new barbie doll. now i have 5 barbie dolls and one ken doll (which are all dominated by my baby sister now). i remembered getting my first barbie doll. that time i was 6 yrs old. it was from my mum's cousin, who lives in holland now. my sister got one too. and from then on, more barbies filled our room. we were so addicted to them.

my loaded cousin had more barbie dolls than i do (duh, i wldn't say she's loaded if she didn't). so everytime i go to her house, i wld instantly rush to her room and grab whichever barbie i cld find. i used to be jealous of her bcs she had more beautiful barbies than i did. haha. kids wld be kids, right? anyway, once, she had the sleeping beauty barbie doll that cld open and shut her eyes. that was my fave among all her dolls. i wished i cld own it. but, even though i was an innocent little kid, i wasn't naughty enough as to steal that doll. i was afraid cousin Sya wld cry until she peed in her diapers. lol. when i ws a kid, i also i dreamt that i wld own a doll/barbie house. and cousin Sya (of course) had a cinderella dollhouse and a barbie one. lalala i was so jealous again. teehee. what can i say? the rich kids get more than others. they have everything a kid cld want. a kid's worst nightmare i wld say, haha. well, those were the days when i used to like toys. good times, good times :)
